Summer Bucket List | 5 Fandom Friday

Hey Epic Geeks,

This week’s 5 Fandom Friday is this summer’s bucket list activities. I’m going to try to keep this geeky and fun in the spirit of 5 Fandom Friday. Let me know if you want to see more of my bucket list for the summer (or any other time).

One thing on my bucket list and finally making it over to our local arcade bar. We actually have no arcades, that I know of, around here except this bar. What’s better than turning your life’s fortune into tokens and wasting it in one night? (:

Drive-in Theater

I’m slightly ashamed to say I’ve never been to a drive-in theater. Where I’m from, we didn’t have any … but now? I live near a few. After three years of living up here, I finally want to branch out and try more new things. Going to the drive-in is one of them.

Unplug for a full day or weekend

Zach and I spend a lot of time online and on our phones. We game on both and we also watch a lot of TV shows together. One day or possibly one weekend, I’d love to completely unplug and play board games or shoot pool. I would love to do this because even though we bond through technology, sometimes it’s nice to just unplug.

Start Game of Thrones from season one

There are a few shows that I’d love to start form season 1 and I’ve been avoiding watching them just for that. Game of Thrones is definitely at the top of the list and it’d be nice to make Zach rewatch everything he forgot too.

Finish the first draft of my novel

My goal is actually to finish by the first week of September, but I definitely want to cross this off my bucket list. I’m so excited to continue writing, I just have to fit it more so in my schedule!

I can’t wait to get a head start on this list.

Two questions:

  1. What’s one thing you want to do this summer?
  2. Do you have a life-time bucket list?

In the mean time, keep calm and stay epic,

  • I grew up right next to a Drive In theater. I didn’t go to a real theater until the first Lord of the Rings movie!

  • Kay

An excellent bucket list! I too have never been to a drive-in theater. There is actually one about fifteen minutes from me but I’ve just never gone. Maybe someday! Best of luck checking things off your list!

    • Thanks! You should try to go this summer (:

  • Great list! There are no barcards near me, but there’s one I’ve been eyeing about 2-3 hours away that I’m trying to get to on my next city visit. There’s a local hike near me that I’ve yet to do and is on my list for the summer.

    • Thanks! The one near us opened up a couple years ago. I’ve just never gone. That sounds like a great mini-getaway!

I would love to hike more too! (:

  • Mariah Kaercher

    Good luck with the novel!!
