What am I reading?

Okay, so yesterday, I kind of accidentally posted my Word Wednesday and no one that I was talking to prior to posting said “Hey, today is Tuesday!”… so here’s a bonus post! I wanted to still give it a slight wordy-theme. Today’s post was supposed to be my Book Exchange with the lovely Vivacious Hobo but instead, you get to find out what I’m reading.

As sad as it is, I’m not actually reading any physical books right now. They’re all on my Amazon Kindle app on my phone. However, a book is a book and I still love reading them!

The Lost Hero

Right now, I’m almost finished with The Lost Hero but Rick Riodan. It’s the first book in The Heroes of Olympus series. If you have never heard of that, it’s the second series to Percy Jackson (which is a great series, so go read them!). This is a great book and definitely sucked me right in as soon as I started to read it. Please go read the Percy Jackson series first though! If you were hesitant of reading the second series, aka The Heroes of Olympus, go give it a shot!

Game of Thrones

Poor Zach agreed to not watch anymore Game of Thrones until I read the books (blame my mom for that idealization!) and so I’ve been reading Game of Thrones (Song of Ice and Fire Book 1). I read through most of it back in August and then work picked up and I somewhat set it down … I’ve not really read it since. I feel so bad. However, I will finish it soon and we’re also planning on a Game of Thrones marathon before the newest season comes out!

That’s actually all, minus blogs, that I’m reading right now. I’m in the middle of two books and I’m determined to at least finish one of them before I read the books Kaitlin at Vivacious Hobo sent me in our book exchange!

Have a great day everyone and sorry I mixed up my days

Keep calm,

  • I finally bought Game of Thrones last week. Starting the Song of Ice and Fire series was one of my reading goals for this year. I figured actually owning the book would force me to get on with it!

    • I absolutely love it so far! I really got into seeing where I was versus the show (which I’ve not actually started yet). There are different charts online showing what chapter correlates with which episode! (:

  • I’m reading A Game of Thrones too right now! Kind of…I’m listening to it on audiobook while I’m at work:P It’s been a while since I’ve read a physical book, but I agree that a book is a book:P Are you going to read all of them before the newest season?! Good luck, that’s a huge undertaking!

    • Oh, that’s so nice! I was listening to the first book of Harry Potter at work in memory of Alan Rickman when her passed. It was really refreshing.
I’m going to read at least the first book. He agreed that he’d watch ALL of the seasons with me, so he’s in for the long run haha. Hopefully I’m going to see all of those before the new one though!

  • Danielle @ From Girlie to Nerdy

I really need to read GoT before season 6 starts up!

    • That’s what I’m attempting to do, but I at least want to finish the first book and watch seasons 1-5… before April 8th…

  • I keep seeing Percy Jackson and I know I need to get around to reading that series for sure!

    • If you have any interest in mythology, you’ll love it even more. If you don’t, then it’s still written so you learn what’s going on and enjoy the story. (:

  • I’ve read most of the Game of Thrones books and they’re pretty good! I hope you enjoy them 🙂

    • Aww thank you! So far I’ve enjoyed them quite a bit!

  • I couldn’t get into Game of Thrones. It was just so chaotic. :-p

    • I actually love that though. The books are really well written!
